Indra is now fully compatible with Intelligent Octopus Go!

Indra has strengthened its collaboration with Octopus Energy by launching a new integration with the Intelligent Octopus Go tariff, the UK’s leading EV charging plan.
Intelligent Octopus Go offers significant savings, with customers potentially reducing costs by up to 70% compared to standard tariffs, which most UK households are currently on. The tariff provides an exceptionally low rate of 7p/kWh for EV smart charging when using an Indra charger.
Octopus Energy’s technology optimises charging times based on grid demand and carbon intensity, aligning with user preferences to deliver greener and more affordable energy. According to Octopus, customers could save hundreds of pounds annually compared to standard tariffs.
This integration has been made possible through a software collaboration between Indra and Octopus Energy’s advanced energy-tech platform, Kraken. It enables Indra charger users to link their devices to their Intelligent Octopus Go accounts via the Octopus app. Customers can then manage their charging schedules and settings, ensuring all smart charging is billed at the 7p/kWh off-peak rate, even outside the usual 11:30 pm – 5:30 am timeframe.
The Octopus app also features a ‘ready by’ option, allowing users to set a specific time for their car to be fully charged – an ideal feature for daily commuters.
Indra is among a select group of manufacturers offering EV chargers compatible with both Intelligent Octopus Go and solar panels. This dual compatibility allows users to combine the benefits of free solar charging with the cost-effective 7p/kWh tariff, further reducing energy costs and supporting sustainable energy practices.
As part of this collaboration, Indra is working closely with Kraken to pioneer advancements in bidirectional charging technology, including vehicle-to-home (V2H) capabilities, ensuring the integration is future-ready.
