Grants

OZEV Workplace Charging Scheme

Reduce the cost of workplace charging by up to £14,000

The OZEV Workplace Charging Scheme (WCS) grant enables any business to receive a £350 grant per socket to install EV charging infrastructure at workplaces for staff and fleet vehicle use.

The grant is awarded to the business, however claimed by us, your OZEV approved installation company. The grant can be claimed against a maximum of 40 sockets.

ELIGIBILITY CHECKLIST

– Can be claimed by any business, charity or public authority (you can’t back-claim for existing chargepoints).

– You must have off street parking & be able to outline a business need for electric vehicle chargepoints.

– You must apply for a digital voucher and present it to ChargedEV.

Where is the grant scheme available?

The grant scheme is available in England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland, but is not available in the Channel Islands, Isle of Man or crown dependencies.

Can I complete an installation and then make an application for a voucher?

No. The date of installation must not precede the date the voucher is issued.

I have applied to the grant scheme in the past and successfully had chargepoints installed. Can I apply for the grant again?

Yes. You can now apply to have additional vouchers until you exceed the limit of 20 chargepoint sockets per company, as long as you still meet eligibility requirements.

What shall I do in order to get a voucher to install a chargepoint?

You will need to complete the application process online, available here, providing information about your business, the desired number of sockets you would like to install, and de minimis declaration (if applies). Previous paper forms are not accepted and the online portal is the only way through which you are able to send your application. If you are eligible, you will be issued a voucher code on screen and receive a confirmation email. Please note that the generation of the voucher may take up to 5 working days.

Is there a limit on the number of chargepoints I can claim for?

Yes. The WCS grant is limited to the installation of 20 chargepoints sockets for each applicant. You can deploy them in how many sites you want, which means that if you would like to have them on 40 sites, you will have 1 socket available per site. If you apply for less than 40 sockets, you are allowed to submit additional applications in the future until reaching that limit.

OZEV EV Infrastructure grant for staff and fleets

This grant is for small and medium sized businesses.

An EV infrastructure grant gives you money off the cost of wider building and installation work that’s needed to install multiple chargepoint sockets. The work can be for sockets you want to install now and in the future. For example, an EV infrastructure grant can cover things like wiring and posts. You can get up to £15,000 or 75% off the cost of the work. The amount depends on how many parking spaces the work covers. You can receive up to 5 grants across 5 different sites.

This grant may be used in combination with the Workplace Charging Scheme.

ELIGIBILITY CHECKLIST

– Your business must have 249 employees or less.

– You must be registered at Companies House. If not, you must be VAT registered with HMRC.

– The chagrepoint can only be used by the building’s staff and vehicles. It cannot be used by members of the public.

– You must carry out work on at least 5 parking spaces – either have a chargepoint socket or are ready to have them installed in the future.

– You must apply for a digital voucher and present it to ChargedEV.
