Building Excellence Through Training: The ChargedEV Internal Training Regime

At ChargedEV, we believe that investing in our employees’ growth and development is fundamental to providing exceptional service to our customers.

Our internal training regime is designed to equip our team members with the necessary knowledge and skills to excel in their roles.

In this article, we will explore our comprehensive training program, which includes a three-week onboarding process, classroom-based learning, and upskilling opportunities.

Three-Week Onboarding Process

Upon joining the ChargedEV team, each new employee undergoes a carefully structured three-week onboarding process. This process provides essential knowledge and insights into our company, as well as our parent company, ZIGUP plc. During this period, new team members will:

a. Learn about ChargedEV: We provide comprehensive information about the company, its values, mission, and the services we offer, ensuring that employees understand the core principles that drive our success.

b. Group Overview: An overview of ZIGUP plc helps new employees understand the larger corporate structure and synergies within the group.

c. Partner Relationships: We familiarise new team members with our partners, highlighting the importance of collaboration and ensuring a cohesive approach when working with them.

d. Product Installation Training: A detailed training program is implemented to ensure employees are well-versed in all the EV charge points and solar PV systems we offer, enabling them to provide accurate information and technical support to our clients.

e. CRM System Familiarisation: During onboarding, employees receive comprehensive training on our CRM system, Onroute. This empowers them to efficiently manage customer interactions, track projects, and provide seamless service.

Hands-On Mentoring and Portfolio-Building

At ChargedEV, we understand the importance of practical experience to complement theoretical knowledge. As part of our internal training regime, new starters are paired with our fully qualified installers who act as mentors. This mentorship program allows them to:

a. Shadow Installers: New team members spend time working with experienced installers, observing installations, and learning best practices firsthand. This hands-on experience provides valuable insights into the installation process and customer interactions.

b. Portfolio Building: While working alongside mentors, new starters have the opportunity to contribute to installation projects and build their portfolio. This allows them to showcase their skills and progress as they gain more experience.

c. Step-by-Step Guidance: Mentors provide step-by-step guidance, ensuring that new employees understand each phase of the installation process and are equipped to handle various scenarios that may arise.

Signing Off to Work Independently

Before new team members are assigned individual projects, they undergo a thorough assessment to ensure their readiness and competence

This assessment considers their technical knowledge, practical skills, and ability to handle installations independently.

Once they have demonstrated proficiency, they are signed off to work solo, keeping in mind our dedication to quality and compliance.

At ChargedEV, our internal training regime encompasses comprehensive onboarding, classroom-based learning, practical mentoring, and portfolio-building opportunities. By investing in the growth and development of our employees, we ensure that they are equipped with the skills and experience required to deliver exceptional service to our customers. Through hands-on training and mentorship, we lay the foundation for a successful and capable workforce that consistently meets the high standards we set as a company.
